Please add an exception for the self-signed certificate of the website, using ssl is my (not so perfect) way to prevent SPAM here.

Isn't it a little pointless to list a resolution like that on a page that people won't be able to see if they haven't already done it? :)

Maybe you should put an intro page on explaining why you're switching to HTTPS (and how people can convince their browsers to tolerate it), instead of just silently redirecting.

It's a pain but I don't think it's a big issue. Anyone techy enough to use your plugin and to report bugs, is probably capable of wrestling with their browser...

Perhaps putting a CAPTCHA in would be easier.
