Differeniate between mail and news identities

Description

Hallo,

in the drop-down list with the "From:" identities, I would like to be able see whether a certain sender identity belongs to a mail account or a news account. At the moment I see serveral identities that look all the same:

Michael Roland <myuser@PROVIDER5> - Michael Roland <myuser@PROVIDER5>
Michael Roland <myuser@PROVIDER5> - Michael Roland <myuser@PROVIDER5>
Michael Roland <myuser@PROVIDER5> - Michael Roland <myuser@PROVIDER5>

Obviously, all of them use the same SMTP server. Consequently, displaying the SMTP server column makes no difference. Yet, one of these identities is associated with the mail account and the other two identities are associated with two different news servers.

Therefore, I would like see the account name that each identity belongs to.

Kind regards, Michael

Hi Michael,

right, it's way more useful to use the incoming-server name in this place as Thunderbird does it. Changed in [730d3c51c9e34], will be part of rc4. Beside, I realized that it's not really useful to show / safe smtp for newsgroup id's, they use nntp for message transport. Maybe i will change that later, don't understand why TB is showing an smtp-server for newsgroup-identities.

Nice regards and thanks for the idea to improve virtual identity that way,

Rene
