Version 35 (modified by rene, 14 years ago) (diff)

first pre-release 0.5.6pre

This is the right place to get the Virtual Identity Extension. This extension can also found at, however versions there might be outdated cause of the lengthy and unpredictable review process.

Beside the only difference between the versions found here and the ones which might be published at is where the update-link points to. All releases (above 0.5.2) found in my download directory check updates against my own site, so you'll have an up-to-date extension synchronous to the development steps. If you don't want to trust me and prefer to let the extension be checked from before you use it, download the extension from their site - the update-link will than point to ether.

The most recent stable Virtual Identity Extension can always be downloaded from here. After a smaller or even longer delay the version might show up at Current stable release is version 0.5.5.

With 0.5.x the virtual Identities are now stored in a separate rdf-File. This keeps your Addressbook clean, enables storage of Identities you used for newsgroups or mailinglists and is compatible with TB0.3a too. Additionally storing the smtp is now accepting the 'default' option (instead of a specific, selected SMTP). As a result Virtual Identity is compatible with SMTP extensions like SmtpSelect. Check out the documentation for 0.5.2. Version 0.5.3 adds an editor for the stored Data as well as the options to store additional Message-Compose-Dialog Settings like the Character Encoding.

pre release

The current pre-release is version 0.5.6pre. It includes some bugfixes and contains a cleaner dialog to compare identities. Additionally a status-icon was added to quickly switch between storage settings. First pre-release, early alpha. Some locales replaced with english ones.

daily snapshots

Daily snapshots are available in the snapshot download-directory, but they might be unstable or doing something really wrong. So don't use them, if you don't had a look at the changes compared to a stable release before.

Information about previous releases might be found in at my blog.
