Description
Please please tell me how to stop Thunderbird from entering a virtual identity name I used a year ago and have no more use for. There is nothing under "virtual identity" to say how to remove it. The virtual identity it is using does not appear anywhere in my Thunderbird options!

Hi,
the earliest version which stored Virtual Identities was puplished in last November, so you must have used (and stored) the Virtual Identity since then. Beside, I assume that the described situation always occurs when you compose an email to some recipient. Just change the Identity and store the new one, that should be it.
The upcoming version 0.5.3 (a preview is available here) includes an editor for the Virtual Identity Storage. You can also edit the File virtualIdentity.rdf by Hand, which you can find in the profile-directory of Thunderbird.
If this is not the solution for your problem and it is not related to stored Identities in the way I understood it, please post the debug-log (activate it in the Settings dialog and watch out for confidential information before posting)
Regards, Rene
