If you like you can add some entry to the Tools Menu, giving you access to Virtual Identities Preferences Dialog and the Identity Storage. [on by default]

If you deactivate those entries, you can reach the preferences dialog through the add-on dialog or with right-click on the Virtual Identity Icon in your message compose dialog status bar. You can reach the storage editor through the storage-Tab in the preferences dialog or with a right-click on the Virtual Identity Icon.
