identity not saved when save-switch checked

In the settings there is a setting "show switch to activate/deactivate saving of identities". If I activate this setting, I see the "save"-check box when writing mails. But this check-box is ignored. Whether I check or uncheck this check-box has no influence on the saving of identities.

the 0.6.0pre version is quiet old - still working on the next preview. Maybe it's not working in your software constellation. But the switch should work, does the icon in the Status-Bar changes it's color if you switch the checkbox? Are there any error messages in the Error Console? (see Tools Menu) If you enable the debug output, you should see some more information. If the checkbox is not checked, there should be something like "## vI_storage: SaveMenuItem not checked." shown in the debug output - can you read something like this?

The icon color changes if I check the box. I cannot read the debug output because after the mail has been sent, the window is closed.

There are 2 checkboxes. One has got the label "save Identity while sending". It is not visible and always unchecked. This is the one used in vI_storage.js.

Then there is another checkbox with the label "save". This is the correct one and used for the status line message.

Hi,

think you do it right, but this might be related to #96. It is fixed and a next 0.6 preview will be released soon - the storage format has changed and therefore a little more testing is required. Lets see if this fixes your problem too...
